This privacy policy explains what data the Hydra Chrome extension ("Hydra", "the extension", "we") accesses, how it is used, and what is not collected. Hydra is designed to work entirely on your device.

Summary

Hydra does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party network requests of any kind. Everything Hydra stores stays inside your own browser profile.

What data Hydra stores, and where

Hydra uses the chrome.storage.sync API (a storage facility provided by Chrome itself) to save:

Your reminder interval and on/off state
Whether notifications are enabled
Your "auto-restore on browser start" preference
Internal scheduling timestamps (e.g., when the next reminder is due)

This data:

Is stored locally by Chrome, and — if you are signed in to Chrome — is synced by Google across your own signed-in devices, using Google's standard Chrome Sync mechanism. Hydra never sends this data anywhere itself.
Contains no personal information: no name, email address, browsing history, location, or any identifier tied to you as a person.
Is never read by, or transmitted to, the developer or any third party.
Is removed automatically if you uninstall the extension.

Permissions and why they're needed

Access to the websites you visit (no host permissions or content scripts)

Third parties

Hydra does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. The extension makes no network requests at all — it is fully self-contained.

Children's privacy

Hydra does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of Hydra adds an optional feature that involves data leaving your device — this page will be updated with a new "Last updated" date, and the change will be described in the extension's release notes before the update ships.
