No data sent to us

This privacy policy explains what data the TabFlow Chrome extension ("TabFlow", "the extension", "we") accesses, how it is used, and what is not collected. TabFlow is designed to work entirely on your device.

Summary

TabFlow does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party network requests of any kind. Everything TabFlow stores stays inside your own browser profile.

What data TabFlow stores, and where

To do its job — saving and restoring your tabs — TabFlow stores the following locally using Chrome's own chrome.storage API:

Your saved sessions and auto-saves: the tab titles, URLs, order, and Chrome tab-group details (name, color) of windows you save
Your workspaces and pinned/archived session lists
Your settings (theme, auto-save interval, notification and sync preferences, and similar options)
Basic usage statistics kept locally (e.g., how many sessions you have)

This data:

Is stored locally by Chrome on your device. If you enable sync, TabFlow mirrors a small amount of settings and a session index into chrome.storage.sync, which — if you are signed in to Chrome — Google syncs across your own signed-in devices using Chrome's standard Sync mechanism. TabFlow never sends this data to the developer or any other server.
Contains the URLs and titles of tabs you explicitly save, which is required to reopen them later. It is never read by, or transmitted to, the developer or any third party.
Contains no accounts, passwords, page contents, or identifiers tied to you as a person.
Is removed automatically if you uninstall the extension. You can also delete individual sessions, or export and clear your data, at any time.

Permissions and why they're needed

TabFlow does not request:

Access to the contents of the pages you visit (no host permissions or content scripts that read page bodies)
Your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, cookies, or passwords
Your location, camera, microphone, or clipboard
Any permission beyond those listed above

Third parties

TabFlow does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. The extension makes no network requests of its own — it is fully self-contained. The only data movement that can occur is Chrome's own optional Sync, operated by Google, if you have it enabled.

Children's privacy

TabFlow does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect or transmit data to us at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of TabFlow adds an optional feature that involves data leaving your device — this page will be updated with a new "Last updated" date, and the change will be described in the extension's release notes before the update ships.
