Privacy Policy — TabFlow: Smart Tab & Session Manager

Last updated: July 21, 2026

No data sent to us

This privacy policy explains what data the TabFlow Chrome extension ("TabFlow", "the extension", "we") accesses, how it is used, and what is not collected. TabFlow is designed to work entirely on your device.

Summary

TabFlow does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party network requests of any kind. Everything TabFlow stores stays inside your own browser profile.

What data TabFlow stores, and where

To do its job — saving and restoring your tabs — TabFlow stores the following locally using Chrome's own chrome.storage API:

This data:

Permissions and why they're needed

PermissionPurposePersonal data involved
tabs Read tab titles and URLs to save and restore sessions. Titles/URLs of tabs you save (stored locally)
tabGroups Save and recreate Chrome tab groups on restore. Group names/colors (stored locally)
sessions Restore recently closed tabs and windows. None beyond Chrome's own recent-session data
storage / unlimitedStorage Persist your sessions, workspaces, and settings locally. Your saved sessions and settings (see above)
alarms Run scheduled auto-saves and backups on time. None
contextMenus Add right-click shortcuts for core actions. None
notifications Show brief confirmations for auto-saves and restores. None

TabFlow does not request:

Third parties

TabFlow does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. The extension makes no network requests of its own — it is fully self-contained. The only data movement that can occur is Chrome's own optional Sync, operated by Google, if you have it enabled.

Children's privacy

TabFlow does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect or transmit data to us at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of TabFlow adds an optional feature that involves data leaving your device — this page will be updated with a new "Last updated" date, and the change will be described in the extension's release notes before the update ships.
